These are the two famous Twin Ghost Gums of Central Australia that featured in Albert Namatjira's paintings.
This site, 16km west of Alice Springs on Larapinta Drive is a deeply significant landmark and in is revealed by both the local Arrernte people and all who admired Albert, the man, and the artist. Namatjira sat here to draw one of his now immortalised watercolours.
I've visited the site many times and painted this depiction of the aging trees in acrylic paint. Designer giftware is now available from my painting of the Twin Ghost Gums.
